Voles (aka Meadow Mice)

May 17th, 2008 by Carl

Voles, also known as meadow mice can create havoc in your yard.  In Utah, voles are best known for destroying turf.  Voles create holes in your yard that may vary from one to three inches in diameter.  Voles can create tunnels under the turf and runways on top of the turf.  They very much enjoy feeding on vegetation, particularly grass.  Symptomatic damage in your grass will manifest itself as brown trails of dead grass. Most of the time those trails will lead directly to the holes which the voles have created.

Controlling voles.  Extrol uses a specific baiting strategy to control voles.
